Position Description:

As Director of Solution Management for the Capital Management product line, you will be responsible for running the product line as a business unit. This will incorporate everything from increasing the profitability of the existing product portfolio, to opening up new markets and the introduction of new products. You will initiate products from existing ideas, and help to develop new ideas based on your industry experience, and your contact with customers and prospects.

To excel in this job you must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision reality. A key factor is to spend time in the market to understand the business problems, and to find innovative solutions to solve these problems.
You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company.

You will work with engineering resources to define product requirements and priorities, and work with marketing communications to define product positioning and go-to-market strategy, value proposition and target customers / regions. In addition, you will be involved during the sales and delivery phase for certain key customers. In your role as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering, you will be expected to demonstrate thought leadership through speaking at industry conferences and analyst / press interviews.

Key Responsibilities:
• Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers
• Managing the product line life cycle from strategy definition, buy/build/partner decisions to tactical activities
• Driving a solution set across development teams (primarily Development / Engineering, and Marketing Communications) through market requirements, user personas, and positioning.
• Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan (working with all departments to execute) and demonstration of internal and external thought leadership

Position Requirements:
Knowledge/Experience
• Substantial experience in Banking
• Proven experience in risk and capital management; preferably a member of risk and capital committee (or similar group)
• Hands-on experience with all 3 pillars of Basel Accord, especially with ICAAP process and Stress

Qualifications
• Master or PhD in Finance, Economics or equivalent
• Desirable: FRM certification, CFA or equivalent
