Role Description:
We are looking for individuals within Baringa’s Capital Markets team. The Manager role provides considerable challenges, variety and opportunity for development in a client-facing environment. Through the role the candidate will design and deliver solutions to clients in the Financial Services sector to resolve their most complex problems in a challenging market environment.
You will be required to:
- Apply a combination of business analysis, operating model design, business transformation, process design and project management techniques.
- Deliver front-to-back projects spanning strategy reviews, end-to-end product transformations, Clearing, Prime Brokerage, Operations and Collateral programmes.
- Provide strong product knowledge across at least one major asset class (e.g. OTC derivatives, ETD, FX) on client site and across our Baringa teams.
- Lead joint teams of client and Baringa personnel on client sites with excellent stakeholder management.
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with clients across the capital markets network.
- Play a leadership role in developing our capital markets vision, propositions and generate consulting opportunities.
- Develop our dynamic company, grow our business and help to maintain our culture.
- Be honest, flexible, adaptable and passionate about our clients’ businesses.
Skills Experience:
The role requires a highly motivated, confident individual with a high degree of competency in a consulting environment.
Particular requirements include:
- Educated to degree level or above.
- Consulting experience in the investment banking industry gained with a leading consultancy firm. Direct industry experience desirable but not essential.
- Deep functional knowledge of the Capital Markets industry as an SME in one of the below areas or spanning front-to-back:
- Sales and Trading
- Middle Back Office
- Prime Services Clearing
- Collateral
- Treasury
- Operational Risk, Controls Compliance.
- Experience of leading a work-stream as part of a larger delivery team focused on one or more of the following transformational activities:
- Target operating model definition and delivery
- Business process re-engineering transformation
- Organisational transformation
- Large scale system implementation.
