Capital Markets Settlements
The Capital Markets Settlements team manages settlement processes in place for all Bonds and GILTS transacted by WBM through the various ICSDs (Euroclear) and CSDs.
The successful candidate will :-
- Manage 3 direct reports in a wider team of 14 over the specific disciplines covered
- Be part of the Capital Markets Operations leadership team which collectively, is responsible for supporting all Primary and Secondary bond activity undertaken by Capital Markets, WBM Trading and WBM Sales
Key Responsibilities:
- To own and manage all relevant relationships within the Group.
- Direct and lead a specialist team of WM Operations professionals to undertake the day-to-day delivery of the WBM specific Operations services.
- Work with Head of Area to create, develop and direct a compelling WM Operations operating model and action plan for the medium term enabling the controlled growth of the WBM infrastructure
- Manage resources within agree headcount budget for business unit - ensuring efficient resource allocation and consideration to known business plans and the project roadmap.
- Lead, motivate, develop and appraise all team members to ensure their individual and collective performance is of the required standard and meets the current and future needs of the business.
- Manages the customer relationship in a way which enables the business to gain maximum value from that relationship. Creates and sustains mutually beneficial relationships
Previous experience required?
- Experienced in measuring the impact of change, minimising disruption to affected parties through contingency planning. Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt accreditation would be a distinct advantage.
- Good understanding of those factors relating to business conditions, economic activity, regulatory and legal requirements, IT, security and risk.
- Experience in managing customer relationships and relationships within the business.
- In depth Fixed Income knowledge.
- Very strong settlements experience.
