Description
The position will offer the candidate the opportunity to impact the Global Middle Office organization, by working on key initiatives and coordinating closely with partners in the Business, Operations, Technology, and Financial Control. This position offers the candidate an opportunity to further their business knowledge, while developing sharper process analysis, and project management skills.
Responsibilities will include:
- Serve as lead Project Manager to supervise a team, working closely with Business, Technology, and Operations personnel to drive continuous process improvement for fixed income products
- Lead initiatives to enable the firm to meet all Regulatory Reporting and Business Monitoring requirements under the Dodd-Frank Financial Reform Act
- Partner with Senior Middle Office managers to prepare Monthly Business Reviews, inclusive of accomplishments as well as progress against Middle Office and industry initiatives
- Identify and analyze key performance metrics, as well as Middle Office operational workflows, in order to identify opportunities for cost reduction/risk mitigation for the firm
- Assist in creating business requirements, technical specifications, implementation test plans in partnership with the respective business users and technology teams, ensuring clear communication among stakeholders during project life-cycle, and providing regular updates to Senior Management
- Participate in Industry working groups and attend meetings with vendors to stay abreast of the latest market developments
- Minimum 10 years of Capital Markets Middle Office and/or Operations experience, with broad based knowledge of fixed income cash and derivatives products
- Experienced manager of business process analysis and re-engineering exercises, with strong interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and Powerpoint is required, as well as Word, Visio, Project, and Access
- Project management skills, including the development of action plans, the setting of objectives, prioritization of tasks, and tracking against deadlines are key to success
- Strong organization skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
