Appointment will be made on the basis of a 4 year fixed term contract

The EIB is one of the world’s largest issuers in the international capital markets and has a borrowing program of up to EUR 70 billion in 2013. It issues debt in some twenty currencies every year, giving its Capital Markets team a panoramic view of the global financial markets.

The Capital Markets Department raises significant volumes of funds on the finest terms available and contributes to the development of the debt markets, in particular in new Member State, Candidate Countries, Potential Candidate Countries and Partner Country currencies. It consists of three funding groups (Euro; Europe (excl. Euro), Africa; America, Asia, Pacific); Investor Relations and Marketing division.

The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team identifying, negotiating and executing funding opportunities in the Division’s currencies. S/he will also investigate and develop new markets and new products as well as participate in meetings with the investor community across the globe.

(*) There may be certain flexibility on this requirement, but limited to particularly suitable candidates who may not yet be proficient in one of the two languages. If selected, such candidates will be hired on the condition that they build up rapidly knowledge of the relevant language and accept that their future career in the EIB may be subject to the attainment of sufficient proficiency in both of the Bank’s working languages.
