Capital Markets Programme Manager

My client, a global consulting firm who have a proven track record of successfully delivering high-quality IT and strategy and delivery projects in the financial services sector. Due to huge growth in the last 12 months and a umber of key programme wins, an opportunity has arisen within the Financial Services practice for a skilled project/programme manager.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

- Providing business analysis on behalf of banking clients, as a member of the consulting team based on client site.
- Recommending improvements to existing processes or systems for clients.
- Managing and assisting with managing and developing client relationships, by identifying client needs and defining problems, producing proposals and recommending courses of action.
- Effectively manage relationships with other team members.
- Manage and develop a team of business consultants.

The desired experience and skills for this role are as follows:

• Experience in investment banking technology gained at a either consultancy or a financial institution
• Detailed knowledge of at least one of the following: the trade life-cycle (FO/MO/BO), order routing and management systems, credit/market risk management, settlement and clearing, reporting (regulatory, client and KPI) and reference data (market or static)
• Excellent understanding of at least one major asset class e.g. government bonds, corporate bonds, commercial paper, FX, equities, listed derivatives or OTC derivatives
• A sound understanding of the impact of regulatory change, particularly within the UK
• A good knowledge and understanding of business analysis techniques
• Excellent consulting and communication skills

Specific Industry Knowledge

• Knowledge of middle back office functions of a custodian. Experience in middle/back office client onboarding is a big plus
• Excellent understanding of front to back order management
• Deep knowledge of margin lending from a custodian stand point
• Excellent knowledge of stock borrow lend processes and platforms
