Capital Markets/IPIC – Quality Assurance (QA) Tester recruitment
Ipreo is seeking a talented Quality Assurance (QA) Tester to work with Ipreo's iPlanner/ iConference application that supports roadshow and event management workflows. The Quality Assurance Tester will adhere to the standard QA process and practice including but not limited to: writing test cases and detailed test scripts, identifying and validating defects via ad hoc testing, and running regression tests. The candidate is expected to work alongside the Product and Development teams.
The candidate must be confident, dynamic, communicate effectively, test creatively, adapt to changing requirements, estimate work efforts, and provide frequent status updates to the QA Manager. The candidate must be able to work independently with minimal supervision but under intense scrutiny.
RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO):
- Write manual test cases that highlight workflow-based scenarios
- Create detailed test scripts that provide explicit execution steps and expected results
- Work with Product and Development Managers to ensure test cases/test scripts coverage meets Product(s) needs
- Test Product(s) for validity of results, accuracy, reliability, and conformance to standards
- Track issues found during testing efforts and documenting clear re-testing instructions
- Perform ad-hoc and regression testing as well as validations of bug fixes
- Assist in production implementation testing
- Develop a deep understanding of the business and apply appropriate QA tools and practices to support it
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 2-5 years’ experience in QA testing
- BA or BS required, or equivalent related work experience
- Ability to apply QA process to workflow scenarios
- Knowledge of SDLC
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Sustain strong organizational and project management skills
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Experience in QA Tools such as Load Runner is a plus
- Knowledge of Capital Markets industry preferred
- Experience with Microsoft automated testing tools preferred
