ConocoPhillips ?? repositioning is subject to market conditions, customary regulatory approvals, the receipt of an affirmative ruling from the U.S. Internal Revenue Service, the execution of separation and intercompany agreements and final board approval. This position will reside within the Transportation organization of Phillips 66, the downstream company. Transportation Overview : ConocoPhillips owns or leases various Transportation assets - pipelines, terminals, marine vessels, railcars and trucks - to provide strategic, timely and environmentally safe delivery and storage of crude oil, refined products and natural gas liquids to its refineries and to carry refined products to the market. Description : Provide leadership and oversight for project implementation across the Transportation organization. This includes supervision of a team delivering project engineering and project management support from initial FEL development through engineering design, construction and project close out. The role will also provide support for the continuous improvement of process and procedures aimed at consolidating to an efficient approach for the delivery of projects. End result will be a Projects organization that matches the business needs and delivers projects in a safe, timely and cost effective manner. Responsibilities : The Portfolio Projects Manager may be responsible for: Manage a Projects Portfolio of 100+ small to medium sized scopes with an annual expenditure of $75MM+. Lead an organization of 20+ employees including 5 direct reports Ensure all project engineering activities are implemented in a manner consistent with Company core values delivering superior safety, quality, schedule and cost performance. Responsible for the oversight and direction of contract engineering services, and coordination of construction contractor support. Proactive interface with Operations, Commercial Development and Leadership teams to set objectives and manage conflict resolution. Continuous development of a fit-for- purpose project implementation system. Coordination of project safety resources and implementation of safety policies, programs and reporting requirements. Leadership in the development of specific process, procedures or templates that form the Transportation Project Management System. Active engagement and leadership in change management, risk evaluation and design reviews. Proactive identification and capture of lessons learned, synergies and knowledge share opportunities across Transportation and the Downstream organization Direct training and mentoring programs for staff. Basic/Required Qualifications : Legally authorized to work in the U.S. Bachelors degree in Engineering 12+ years of experience in the oil / gas industry 5+ years of supervisory experience and leading teams Experience with pipeline and facility upgrade projects Understanding of federal, state and local regulations Preferred Qualifications : Demonstrated safety leadership skills in a projects environment Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to support and work across organization boundaries to leverage resources and resolve conflicts. Experience working with teams across multiple locations Knowledgeable of and proficient user of SAP modules. Track record of continuous professional development. Knowledge of Pipelines and Terminals facility operations and maintenance. Additional Information : Regular travel (30%) to construction sites and engineering offices will be required to support project development, design and implementation. Professional Engineering or PMP certification encouraged.
