Capital Reporting Manager
We are currently seeking to recruit a Capital Reporting Manager who will be responsible for delivering and analysing Capital data for publishing externally as part of the Banks results and internally to Cluster Senior Management. The holder of this position will manage the collation of data, production of key reports or major sections of those reports, including the writing of commentary and editing of materials supplied by others. In addition the successful candidate will be expected to:
• Establish a robust capital reporting framework and data infrastructure to facilitate business management in an efficient and effective manner
• Build flexibility into the system to move in step with business demands, as well as, regulatory requirement
• Develop and monitor a comprehensive set of key capital indicators whilst developing portfolio diagnostics to assess, quantify and mitigate risks in these portfolios
• Provide decision support and analytics for policy monitoring across all products and regions
• Engage with regulators and auditors to ensure compliance and proper representation of our policies/ practices
• Manage governance process and ensure compliance at the Local and Cluster level
• Maintain expert knowledge of nature and direction of relevant business areas (especially around any commentary required or provided by relevant business area and key risk drivers of business)
• Provide input to relevant business areas strategic plans and opportunities (including assisting relevant business areas with the forecasting) through review and challenge of capital demand
• Support ad hoc projects, for example, stress testing, model development, quantifying economic capital implications of M+A activity and securitisation/risk transfer for relevant business areas
• Develop strong working relationships across the Cluster, Group Risk and One Finance to ensure alignment of priorities and to influence change/ improvement
• Establish regular communication mechanisms to facilitate sharing of best practices, alignment of practices, implementation at pace, and allocation of tactical support as needed
• Present monthly reporting, status/issues and initiatives to key stakeholders and senior leaders
This role requires someone who has a solid understanding of a Banking environment along with the businesses it supports and service it provides.
