Specific Job Description Individual will be responsible for leading new business captures in a dynamic $1.1B ISGS Defense organization. This organization's customer set covers the following program areas: Networking Communications, International Commercial, Space C2, Defense Intelligence, support to COCOMS, and Systems/Mission OM/sustainment. It is anticipated that the selected candidate will focus on one of the above listed areas that best fit his/her capabilities and experience. The position will require a strong understanding of the current and future market defense community customer needs and conditions, and the application of Lockheed Martin solutions to those requirements. It will require a thorough understanding of capture plan development concepts and execution techniques including technical program requirements, major program development, positioning, industry teaming, and supporting proposal efforts, pricing plans, etc. Will also develop customer contact plans, establish customer meetings, develop pursuit strategies, and engage Lockheed Martin entities required to provide the solutions necessary to complete a successful capture. The technical aspects of this position require a strong understanding of systems engineering, the associated business practices and program requirements, and the ability to translate those into an integrated set of solutions that provide the greatest benefit to our customer?s missions. The business aspects require development of the various competitive analysis models including business case analysis and make-buy-analysis for various delivery options. This is a BD position for LM's ISGS-Defense OSS Product Line. The candidate may sit at any ISGS work location. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Has accountability to shape and win new business through a balanced focus on customer value, the competitive environment, and the corporation's best interests. Develops capture strategy including business solution for pursuit of opportunities; identifies potential customers, competitive assessments, teaming suppliers, and prices-to-win; participates in bid and proposal activities. Has responsibility to lead and integrate the assigned cross-functional team and authority to direct team activities for the duration of the pursuit. Maintains ongoing interaction with business development.
