:: Overview ::
Greenstone Carbon Management is looking to recruit an experienced Carbon Consultant with relevant client facing experience and knowledge of the carbon management market in Australia.
Greenstone is a dynamic company providing consultancy services and Acco2unt software to form a complete carbon management solution. Based in central London, they deal primarily with international companies, FTSE 100/250 businesses and public sector clients.
The successful individual will be a bright, inquiring person, who can apply their knowledge and experience of the carbon management industry to a range of clients in different commercial sectors with specific responsibility for clients and partners in the Australian market. They should have previous experience of working with clients in Australia, the NGA and NGERS methodologies, and the current and emerging regulatory environment. The successful candidate should be able to lead client projects with minimal support from mobilisation to final delivery, managing budgets and resources as required. The successful candidate should also be prepared to relocate to Australia to support business development and client delivery in the Australian market in the future.
:: What you will do as a Carbon Consultant ::
· Take responsibility for managing multiple carbon management projects, acting as the single point of contact for clients, with a focus on the Australia market.
· Conduct a high level analysis of clients’ carbon management requirements, providing guidance and education where required.
· Work with clients to develop carbon and climate change strategies.
· Monitor national and international carbon measurement standards and protocols, with particular focus on NGS and NGERS.
· Follow Greenstone’s delivery approach and help inform its development through working with the Acco2unt software and conducting wider carbon market / industry research.
· Support Greenstone’s business development activities in the Australia market and work with current and future local partners to sell and deliver Greenstone’s solutions.
· Develop Greenstone’s pool of expert associate consultants to support client projects.
· Support the development of Greenstone’s Acco2unt software by developing user specifications based on current or future client requirements.
:: What you will bring ::
· A passion for climate change and carbon management – in particular the impact of these on commerce and government.
· A knowledge of climate change policy, along with legislative, market and voluntary market developments.
· An ability to deal with clients at all levels of an organisation and work with them in a consultancy capacity
· A highly numerate capability with great attention to detail and accuracy.
· An ability to research and source information from a multitude of areas.
· An ability to problem solve effectively, generate ideas and solutions.
· A strong team working ethic with a willingness to provide proactive support to team members.
· Strong communication (written verbal) and presentation skills.
:: Qualifications ::
· A strong graduate level degree in science, engineering or management (at least 2:1). A masters degree or equivalent professional experience in environmental science, engineering or management preferred.
· 5+ years relevant consultancy experience essential, together with knowledge of climate change, carbon or energy management and carbon markets, with a particular focus on Australia.
· Good Excel or database experience.
