Cards and Retail Banking Consultant recruitment

Key Requirements:
• A Strong understanding of business and market dynamics, financial practices and supportive technologies in the financial services industry generally, and cards and payment in particular
• Understanding latest trends within the cards industry
• Proven delivery capability on cards related projects/consulting engagements
• Robust analytical and quantitative skills and the ability to think write and present in a logical and structured way
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Ability to confidently liaise with senior managers and clients, conveying complex ideas and developing project deliverables
• The ability to quickly build trust amongst colleagues and clients
• Strong drive, resilience and a passion for excellence
• Team player with the ability to deliver projects and to work within project teams
• Fluent in English, and potentially one other major European language.
• A proficient and advanced user MS Office applications (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
• Strong academic track-record, preferably with a financial or analytical bias. An MBA or ACA qualification would be advantageous, although not essential.

Skills and Experience:
• Programme Management within the Payments space
• Customer Strategy frameworks
• Deep knowledge of the cards market gained within a tier 1 Financial Institution or Consultancy Practice
• Process re-engineering techniques
• Technical Payments knowledge (Retail corporate Cards and Emerging Payment Methods)
• Payments regulatory environment.
• New product management market entry
• Client on boarding process and industry best practices
• Pricing strategies and origination
• Strong commercial acumen developed experientially
• Strong stakeholder management toolkit
• Experience of change management (methodologies delivery)
• Ability to think laterally and apply knowledge to new markets
• Having good comprehension of Organisational Insight and practices
• Flexible work practice as working on client site is an essential requirement
