Role: Cards Domain Consultant
Location: Nottingham
Domain: Excellent knowledge of card business models – bankcard,affinity, private label, store and operations focus in one or more areas – marketing programs, application processing, card production, transaction management and card account management and risk management. Work experience across in banks, monolines and PLCC businesses and /or working across operational areas in a card business will be a plus.
Technology: Good applied understanding of technology applications in key areas of credit card acquisition– campaign management, credit decision, interfaces etc.
Ability to demonstrate thought leadership in new applications of technology to business process automation and revenue enhancement will be a key attribute
Soft skills: Conceptualization and Communication: Excellent written, verbal articulation skills /presentation skills . Needs to have ability to work in teams and leading teams preferably with remote co-ordination.
Skills required:
- Primarily work on Business Requirements Document, Impact Analysis document, Gap document, Scoping/Vision, Test Scenario documents etc.
- Good Understanding of Credit Card Issuing and Acquiring Industry and processes. Should have ideally worked in an Issuer or an acquirer set up.
- Expertise on end to end Credit card Acquisition process including partnership models
- Consistent excellence in Eliciting Translating business requirements into functional outcomes;
- Application of appropriate analysis to the problem, from simple to moderately complex analysis and synthesis of business requirements, including recognizing patterns and conceptualizing processes;
- Very good requirements management; negotiation prioritization of business requirements.
- Identification of opportunities, synergies and conflicts with the wider “Line of Business” strategy, drivers, and needs.
- Excellent communication skills, influencing and being influenced by peer and stakeholder thinking, using the written, spoken and presentation channels with equal excellence.
Who are we looking for?
- Ideal candidates would have more than 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst/Domain Consultant with credible experience in ‘structured’ requirements management.
- Candidates could also be working in IT departments of Banks Financial Services companies, but with definitive practical and experience-based (not theoretical) knowledge of the ‘structured’ requirements management life-cycle.
- Good understanding of multiple technologies used in Banking Financial Services IT.
- Excellent communication skills and flair for client interfacing roles.
- Good presentation skills
- Business Process/Operations knowledge in Retail Banking (Credit Cards, Loans, Mortgages Core Banking) would be an added advantage.
