Succession to Head of Financial Control

A high profile investment bank with growing operations in Asia Pacific. Due to some internal movement a position is available which could lead to the succession to Head Of Financial Control at a later date.
Reporting to the CFO, you would be responsible for all the HK entities financial control activities, ensuring best practice across your team.This role will require someone who is an experienced team manager who can control all finance matters and manage a large team effectively. You would be responsible for ensuring that all financial, regulatory and management reporting activities are completed timely and accurately and work closely with the CFO on change and strategic projects across the function.
To be considered, you will be a qualified accountant with at least 10 years experience in the finance and banking field. You will be big four trained and have a minimum of 4 or 5 years working within the banking industry. As a senior position, you will need strong understanding of investment products and be an accomplished and experienced team manager. You will need strong understanding of the regulatory requirements eg IFRS, Basel II, HKMA and SFC as well as being a proactive results orientated individual with excellent communication skills. Due to growth in the function, there is also another controller role which would be a similar scope but would require someone with over 7 years experience.
