Main responsibilities include:

·         Reporting to the Site Manager and working 7am – 4pm, the successful candidate will be managing the plant’s case makers (flexo-folder-gluers), which are on a rotating 3-shift system – 5 days a week.

·         Liaise with clients.

·         Ensure that product is made correctly, first time and on-time.

·         Drive and deliver continuous improvement in quality and productivity.

·         Manage the planned preventative maintenance programme.

·         Impart product knowledge and lean manufacturing best practice to colleagues.

·         React positively to problems – ensuring that the root cause is identified and corrective action put in place.

·         Deliver budgeted KPIs in terms of feeds per shift, set up times and quality in terms of returns and waste.

·         Purchase inks, stereos and dies - smoothly and within budgeted levels.

 

The Person Profile for Case Maker Supervisor:

The key experience and knowledge requirements for the role:

·         A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience managing corrugated case makers (i.e. flexo-folder-gluers) in an integrated box plant.

·         Excellent knowledge of setting up a case maker, printing and die cutting in-line.

·         Fluency with lean manufacturing best practice.

·         Good housekeeping skills.
