A new and exciting job opportunity has arisen for a Cash Equity Control Supervisor to join a global firm providing financial services specialising in Investment Banking, Wealth Asset Management.

The Cash Equity Middle Office team offers a fast paced, challenging work environment and requires someone who is highly responsive and possesses above average communication skills. Because the role requires direct contact with senior people from the Equities Business, a successful candidate will demonstrate the highest professional behaviour, drive and commitment, and quickly develop business and technical expertise. The Cash Equity Controls supervisor role sits within the desk-aligned function of the Cash Equities Middle Office. The function provides is a control layer for the EMEA Cash Sales and Trading, EMEA Emerging Markets Sales and Trading, and EMEA Proprietary Trading desks within the Equities business. The role requires a thorough understanding of various cash equities as well as listed derivative products and markets. This unique opportunity provides direct exposure to Equities business leaders and senior middle office management and allows for the individual to represent operations in a highly challenging and collaborative environment. We are looking for a proactive, responsible, and dedicated individual that is able to work and communicate effectively in a high volume, fast paced environment. The primary responsibilities of the role are: • Supervision of an onshore controls escalation team and oversight of the offshore support team. • Ensure timely, and accurate, processing of reconciliation requests. • Monitor an inventory of reconciliations to ensure effective processing of trade executions. • Provide operational insight for process mapping of new business initiatives driven by the front office. • Interact and leverage relationships with other Operations teams such as Trade Support, JRU, ETD, Clearing and Settlement, and Change Management. • Work collaboratively with other group and IB logistical functions including Finance, IT, Legal, Compliance, Market Risk and Credit Risk. • Drive continuous improvement within the function to deliver on set quantitative goals. • Increase RFT (Right First Time) by continuously monitoring and improving the Systemic and Behavioural root causes across FO, IT, and Ops. • Increase STP (Straight through Processing) rate of all products by actively engaging IT and Ops Change teams. • Own and proactively challenge the EOD alert process to ensure appropriate levels of escalation provided to the Cash Equity business heads as a part of their daily supervisory requirements. • Communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively to all audiences. • Adhere to escalation procedures within IB Operations.
