Role Summary/Purpose

Working as a Cash Processing Administrator within GE your responsibilities will include:

*Processing payments (GBP and currency) to clients and third parties, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and fully compliant work practices. Using a variety of payments methods including GE Webcash, BACS and various bank payment systems.

*Receive and resolve verbal and written queries regarding cash in a timely and professional manner. By liaising with banks to resolve queries on client and internal GE bank accounts to ensure constant accurate and smooth transaction processing.

*Investigate and help to resolve numerous, varied and sometimes complex queries relating to account reconciliations that relate to the processes of the team.

*Liaise with internal departments, Account Managers and Clients as necessary and other GE businesses as required.

*Ability to work within a time-bound environment, prioritising tasks and activities to ensure externally driven timescales are adhered to e.g. daily cut offs for different banking procedures.

*Proactively review processes and consider potential ideas for improvement, and be fully involved in introducing new practices.

Qualifications/Requirements

As a Cash Processing Administrator your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

*Proven experience in a Financial Services (banking) environment, or experience of working in an Accounts / Finance role, including foreign currencies payment processing using banking systems would be an advantage.

*Numerical skills - accuracy and record keeping, management of large volumes of data and experience of MS Excel spreadsheet tools, ability to access and update computerised information.

*Excellent Administration Skills - ability to manage and organise multiple work streams simultaneously.

*Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy whilst working to tight deadlines and able to adapt in a changing and demanding environment.

*Strong Team Player - engaging cross functionally. Able to display a positive attitude and flexible approach to assigned tasks with a desire to learn and build skill set.

*Problem solving/decision making skills - ability to decide on best course of action required to solve a range of problems from complex queries to technical issues with equipment.

*Strong written and verbal communication skills - ability to drive improvements in operational performance and efficiency.
