Business Unit Overview
Aladdin Portfolio Services is a centralised production group dedicated to ensuring that all information required for the investment management process including positions, security data, pricing, risk, cash, net asset value (NAV), performance and compliance are delivered through the BlackRock Green Package consistently, accurately and on a timely basis.
Cash Services represents the function to Cash Management, PMG and GCG as the 'owners' of cash within Business Operations, whether for investment or client specific purposes, including due diligence meetings
Job Purpose/Background
You will be responsible for investigation, resolution management of client overdraft positions.
Participation in production, oversight and review of daily / monthly "Client Money" Regulatory Reporting obligations.
Participation in production oversight of Israeli FX exposure reporting, FCA Transaction reporting exception management.
You will complete these activities in accordance with BlackRock's global best practices and through the application of internal controls, operational processes and procedures as notified to you. You will ensure that your Team Leader is notified of all material service issues / risk items on a timely basis and work to resolve these as a matter of priority.
You will maintain an effective working relationship with fellow team members, other BlackRock departments, custodian banks and third party service providers.
You will ensure that you are fully trained in the functions you are required to perform, identifying for your Manager any outstanding training requirements maintaining on an ongoing basis your competence for the responsibilities assigned to you.
Key Responsibilities
Support the firm's sales, trading and other business activities and has diverse responsibilities, including:
- Ensuring compliance with the Firm's Regulatory Compliance obligations
- Adhere to procedures and agreed deadlines to ensure prompt resolution of exceptions
- Identify and escalate all material risk items
- Identify and manage all operational risks
- Identify opportunities for process improvement
- Maintain responsibility for the resolution of cash event related exceptions
- Adhere to and meet all regulatory requirements
- Escalate all material risk items and service issues to your Team Leader on a timely basis
- Establish and develop strong relationships with colleagues and external contacts

Knowledge/Experience
- Keen interest in investment products with previous experience in financial services, ideally in investment management
- Proficiency in Microsoft office (especially Excel) and an aptitude for learning new applications Previous query handling, client service experience a distinct advantage
- Previous client custody reconciliation experience a distinct advantage
