CASS Specialist – VP/MD recruitment
Our client is the Asset Servicing arm of a leading Financial Services provider. They are currently looking for a Senior Cass Specialist to help strengthen this business area and to report directly into the Chief of Staff. The role is focused around providing technical support to the CF10a and reporting to the firms' governing bodies.
Your responsibilities will be:
- Liaising with the relevant departments on Compliance matters relating to the FSA CASS rules and the wider protection of client assets/money.
- Participating in steering committees and working groups to drive forward an enhanced framework for the protection of client assets/money.
- Reviewing/consulting on the implementation of policies and procedures for various departments in relation to FSA CASS rules.
- Overseeing the framework for maintaining any CASS resolutions for the business, including performing periodic reviews of the content of any CASS resolution and reporting findings to the CF10a.
- Coordinating any remedial actions for CASS resolutions into Compliance within the time frame specified within the FSA Handbook.
- Coordinating the gathering of data for the monthly CASS returns and submitting them to the FSA on behalf of the business, ensuring the accuracy of the data.
- Conducting regular quality assurance reviews of CASS related processes and controls.
- Developing and delivering an extensive training program focused on CASS Compliance.
- Assessing and approving any business changes to the processes that impact CASS requirements.
- Identifying and advising on the impact of regulatory changes relating to the protection of client assets/money.
- Deputise for the CF10a in their absence.
You will have a proven track record within Compliance with a notably strong understanding of the FSA CASS requirements and the wider FSA Handbook. You will posses a good working knowledge of the products surrounding asset servicing, such as deposit-taking, Custody or Securities Lending.
