Summary of Position:
This position reports to Vice President, Global Business Development and is responsible for profitable growth of Mercury’s Casting Technology product line. The Casting Technology Product Line Includes: High Pressure Die Castings, Pressurized Lost Foam, Aluminum Smelting, Patented Alloy Licensing, as well as other Castings Technology.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Directs development and execution of castings business strategies in the pursuit of new product and market opportunities
  • Defines the marketing strategy and activities for all Mercury Castings Product lines
  • Develops and implements sales plans to achieve product line goals
  • Manages sales activities of Mercury casting team and manufacturer’s representative
  • Cultivates relationships with customers and suppliers (Internal External)
  • Qualifications:

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Marketing or Castings/Foundry Operations Background with a commercial mindset
  • Ability to develop and maintain commercial relationships with customers
  • Capacity to create cross functional alliances and move initiative forward without direct authority
  • Effective communicator: verbal, written and presentation
  • Ability to be successful in a matrix organization working with numerous business areas including: Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Marketing, Purchasing, Quality and Engineering
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience with 8 years experience
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of metallurgy (Aluminum, Iron, and Steel alloys)
  • Working knowledge of casting principles
  • Working knowledge of melting techniques and principles
  • MBA Preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
  • Prior PL Responsibility
