The Casualty Process Manager is accountable for the results of the Casualty Line of Business within the Claims organization and is end-to-end owner of consulting and process activities for the discipline

Responsibilities Include:

- Identifies and facilitates process improvement facilitation.

- Drives alignment and consistency of process in the casualty discipline.

- Identifies and incorporates best practices to drive continuous process and procedure improvement.

- Identifies informational needs and creates effective communications (periodic, targeted and focused) inside and outside of the Claims department.

- Functions as clearly defined Subject Matter Expert for the casualty line.

- Accountable for the results of casualty line of business, including customer satisfaction, quality/accuracy and efficiency.

- Oversees vendor relationships and is accountable for all casualty vendor results.

Approximately 60-80 percent of time spent on the job may involve the use of a personal computer. May travel by car, plane or other form of transportation to conduct business.

Knowledge, Skills Abilities

Required:

- Bachelor's degree in related area (Business, insurance or related field) or an equivalent combination of education and experience

- 10+ years Claims experience in handling progressively more complex cases in the Casualty discipline

- Litigation experience

- Knowledge of multi-state and federal insurance regulations

- Comprehensive understanding of automobile repairs, insurance contracts and regulatory process

- Ability to prioritize work, organize time, and balance multiple projects

- Ability to supervise employees in a virtual environment

- Effective inter-personal and negotiating skills and the ability to interact with others in a professional and tactful manner

- Working knowledge of changes and developments in the insurance industry

- Effective decision-making skills

- Solid organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work with inside and outside vendors

- Excellent leadership, strategic mindset, interpersonal, influence management, negotiation, coaching/mentoring, development and team building skills

- Ability to direct and manage department activities and assess goals for individuals and department

- Knowledge of claims operations and workflow analysis

- Ability to recognize process, staffing and resolution improvement opportunities and proactively implement solutions

- Advanced decision making, organizational, planning and problem solving skills

- Valid automobile operator's license may be required depending on assignment

Preferred:

- Claims supervisory or management experience

- CPCU designation; Associate in Claims; Associate in Management
