American Management Association, a world leader in professional development and performance-based learning solutions is seeking a Catalog Circulation and Marketing Analyst, who will provide critical support to AMA's Catalog of Seminars and Training Resource Guide circulation plans, campaign reporting and will assist with project management. AMA's catalog is a key source of seminar registrations and supports the AMA brand.
The Catalog Circulation and Marketing Analyst will play a vital role within the catalog team and requires strong analytical, project management and communication skills. This position will report to the Manager of Catalog Circulation and Analysis and also work closely with the Catalog Marketing Strategist. This individual will be responsible for assisting in the execution and coordination of all catalog-related list plans. The position will also be responsible for gathering and updating statistical response analysis for all Catalog Group campaigns, through all stages of the campaign lifecycle, from planning to back-end analysis. They will play a key role in assisting with daily project management of catalog tasks, collaborating with a number of internal partners to do so.
- Set-up/maintain list plan schedules and oversee hand-offs to both internal and external teams
- Place and track prospect list orders, and make recommendations regarding outside list selection and usage
- Select and mine subsets of house list segments
- Coordinate execution of front and back-end merge processes
- Provide timely and accurate tracking of campaign segment and test results
- Update prospect list costs, rolling results on calculations of CPM and breakeven cutoff
- Generate the supporting data that feeds the bi-weekly update of the Catalog Demand Report
- Create and execute database queries to support analysis of customer/prospect segment behavior patterns
- Present findings, conclusions, and recommendations to appropriate team members Project manage day-to-day catalog workflow: i.e. build detailed schedules of catalog tasks and deliverables, track the print production status, gather testimonials and faculty data/photos, and monitor tasks and deliverables to insure deadlines are met
- Make pagination recommendations for every Catalog and BOS, manage modifications and inform all key stakeholders of new developments
- Update index, new course status, and government insert
- Manage bulk distribution instructions to printer
- Assist Marketing Strategists with general summary reports for each catalog and periodic power point presentations for telesales meetings and other internal communications
- Work with Editor to gather rights and permissions for articles used in Catalog and BOS campaigns
- Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis
- Support Catalog Marketing Manager/Strategist
- Collaborate with the production team, the database team, the public seminar marketing team, the Practice team, the Customer Call center, Editorial staff, and other business unit marketing staff members
- Perform other related duties
- BA/BS in Marketing or other related field
- 2+ years of catalog circulation experience and familiarity with merge/purge process
- 2+ years of experience in evaluating and interpreting catalog metrics, analyzing results, and assisting with project management responsibilities
- Strong quantitative skills with proven ability to analyze results and formulate recommendations for future strategies
- Strong communication skills
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to do pivot tables, look-ups, etc.
- Extremely detail oriented
- CRM experience preferred
- Team player with demonstrated ability to collaborate with others
