Job Purpose The Category Analyst (CA) assists Clients, Customers, and Business Development Managers by analyzing data and presenting it in a format, which can be used to make effective business decisions. Job Responsibilities 1. Data Collection Provide information for Clients, Customers, and Business Development Managers through the use of syndicated or customer-specific data sources. Meet specific needs of requesting party by determining appropriate data selection. 2. Data Analysis/Interpretation/Application Determine and quantify primary business opportunities and key drivers by analyzing data. Support key business opportunities by recommending solutions based on applicable data. Define major business opportunities by prioritizing information to support the goals of our Clients, Customers, and Company. Evaluate the reliability of source information by weighting raw data and organizing results for analysis. 3. Presentation Development Communicate business opportunities and recommend action plans by working with Business Development Managers to develop persuasive presentations. Organize information by studying, analyzing, interpreting, and classifying data. 4. Presentation Delivery Assist the Business Development Managers when appropriate by participating in the presentation of the analysis and recommendations. 5. Project Management Develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans, and conferring with management. Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems. Job Requirements High School Diploma College degree or equivalent work experience preferred. Two to three years of work experience in applicable field (i.e. sales and marketing agency, Customer, and/or Client. Working knowledge of syndicate data and applications. Strong sales presentation and development skills Demonstrated analytical skills and techniques. Advanced PC skills with proficiency in spreadsheets, word processing and presentation software. Other Requirements Must perform the job safely and utilize proper safety techniques and use of equipment when appropriate.
