Category Manager
Location: South East
The Role:
Category Manager required for global food leader. The company mainly focus on meats and seafood products and trade in 50 plus counties across the world. Due to continued success and market expansion they now have a superb opportunity for a Category Manager to join the team in the South East.
This is a specialist role, working in the Pork and Bacon division on the company. You will play a major role in overseeing, developing and improving this underdeveloped section of the business, which offers massive untapped business potential.
Your key objective will be to strengthen the international supplier client base, together with expanding and developing the manufacturing and industrial markets in the UK.
Key Duties:
- Category reviews.
- Achieving and exceeding sales and distribution targets.
- Building strong client relationships.
- Implementing strategic category plans.
- Working closely with all commercial teams.
- Developing and improving international supplier network.
- Developing the manufacturing and industrial markets with UK sales / National Accounts teams.
- Devising joint business plans.

Requirements:
- Strong experience as a Category Manager in the Meats industry.
- Proven experience in successfully managing and growing a category/s within a fast paced FMCG or industrial/manufacturing environment.
- Pork / Bacon market knowledge.
- Strong relationship builder.
- Proven experience of building strong relationships with international suppliers.
- Target driven.
- Strong business acumen.
- Strong experience in the implementation and review of category plands and range reviews.
- Based in the South East
Package:
Basic Salary: £50,000
