Category Manager Job in Northamptonshire, Midlands Uk
We are looking for an experienced Category Manager with a strong background in the Chilled Food Industry. You will be required to establish a category strategy which will be effective at driving growth.
As the Category Manager you will:-
• Develop the Customer Category Strategy, to be delivered through a series of regular category reviews within each retailer
• Define, quantify and prioritise category/customer opportunities and ensure action plans are developed to achieve and track progress
• Work with the commercial teams to ensure budgeted sales and net profit for the accounts are met
• Evaluate market data from Kantar, Nielsen, Dunnhumby LMG to highlight issues/trends, providing the business with a continuous insight into market activities
• Analyse make recommendations in conjunction with the commercial and NPD team on promotions, product launches store distribution across the market
• Gauge consumer acceptance of retailers current/new products in terms of ingredients and packaging design through market research
• As required deliver a market overview and consumer insight to various functions within the business
