This is a great opportunity to begin a career in the Catering field in a high volume setting. Ideal candidate will have: - entry level experience managing and supervising multiple large catering/banquet events, including prep, delivery, set-up, service execution, and clean-up of event; - experience in a college or university setting; - prior supervisory or managment experience in an upscale restaurant environment; - strong client relationship skills to work with guests, clients and customers, and address service issues as they arise; - highly organized, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple and often conflicting priorities within deadlines, within frequent interruptions; - experience training and leading people to demonstrate service excellence when working with guests; - excellent computer skills including microsoft office suite/Excel with the ability to learn and utilize new software quickly; - knowledge of food and physical safety. Position Summary : Manages all catered events. Hires, schedules, and trains catering staff. Works with clients/customers to arrange and follow through on all catering details and to ensure all special requests are met. Directs setup for events. Responsible for pricing, billing and resolving customer complaints. Develops menu/costing. Qualifications Requirements: Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
