Sodexo is seeking an experienced Director of Catering Sales and Operations for The University Club. The University Club is a beautifully restored historical building on the University of Pittsburgh campus. The club is a members only club serving faculty and staff. The facility has two restaurants and lounge with eight meeting rooms for conference and catered events. Total catering volume is $2.3 million annually. Emphasis on strategic planning to increase the utilization of the facilities and drive sales. Develops and implements sales and marketing strategies to achieve top line revenue goals. Supervises and directs catering sales team with specific and measureable objectives to increase the utilization of the University Club and drive sales. Provides supervision for catering operations and culinary staff. Supports the Retail Manager responsible for the Faculty Club operations to ensure partner satisfaction and retention for the company. Contributes to account revenue and operating profit contribution through the implementation of services and creation of opportunities for growth. - Plans projects, including defining objectives, methods, timetables and budget to support Partner and Sodexo strategic plan for growth. - Maintains and develops partner relationships and partner satisfaction for Catering Services, Faculty Club, Fraternity Grill and membership to ensure account retention. - Fulfills contractual obligations to the partner. - Accountable for the execution of service quality by maintaining highest level of delivery. - Promotes and support workplace diversity initiatives. Knowledge of campus dining and faculty club expereince is preferred. Position Summary : Manages all catered events. Hires, schedules, and trains catering staff. Works with clients/customers to arrange and follow through on all catering details and to ensure all special requests are met. Directs setup for events. Responsible for pricing, billing and resolving customer complaints. Develops menu/costing.
