CBT Instructor/Designer Job

The N-Dex CBT Instructor / Designer requires instructional design background, CBT experience and be able to adjust CBT courseware in response to customer and N-Dex changes. N-Dex Overview: The N-DEx system provides law enforcement agencies with an investigative tool to search, link, analyze, and share criminal justice information such as incident/case reports, incarceration data, and parole/probation data on a national basis. N-DEx provides the capabilities to search, collaborate, subscribe, notify, visualize, and provide analytic reporting based on the vast amounts of information available to the system. Candidate requires instructional design background, CBT experience and the ability to: - Adjust CBT courseware in response to N-Dex changes - Design and develop storyboards for computer-based and web-based training - Test trainees to measure their learning progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training presentations - Verify that developed training materials conform to program requirements - Coordinate with various stakeholders to identify program needs - Perform reviews on computer-based and web-based resources and products Develops, directs, plans and evaluates training programs or activities to meet external customer or internal employee learning objectives. Assignments may include needs analysis, custom course development, development of criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of course objectives, and evaluation and learning assessments. Where instructing within a certified educational institution, responsible for determining the organization, communication and delivery of the course content and materials, and for developing learning activities and demonstrations. Collaborates with customer or internal functional organization to develop, enhance, and/or evaluate new or existing learning objectives and course content. May create course content, training materials, visual aids and documentation to support a variety of instructional formats such as lecture, lab exercises, field training, computer-based training (CBT), and/or web-based training (WBT). May develop exam materials and may be responsible for testing and qualitative evaluation of participant's attainment of learning objectives. Monitors and evaluates training programs, assesses results, and implements enhancements as needed. Trainers may also administer training programs to meet student needs, which may require post-training follow up to determine applicability of course material or training approaches. At more senior levels, may evaluate and/or oversee contractors or vendors to develop and/or administer instructor-lead training programs. Qualifications: BASIC REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor's degree in related field and 6+ years progressive experience in the field, or other subject-related experience may be applied in lieu of Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience. Advanced degree preferred. - Knowledge of CBT module development tools. Examples: Captivate (RoboDemo), Adobe (Technial Communication Suite): Acrobat, FrameMaker, Authorware, Captivate. Captivate: Robohelp. Micromedia: Flash and Dreamweaver. Skytap. Captivate RoboDemo...etc...
