C/C++ Developer – Market Data Systems recruitment

The Role

Bloomberg is looking for an experienced C++ Software Engineer with excellent computer science and programming fundamentals and strong problem-solving skills.
Our work environment is fast-paced, spirited and friendly. We are seeking a technically capable, creative, motivated software developer to join us in continuing our phenomenal success.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a highly optimized, distributed software infrastructure that delivers low latency data to our clients. The projects undertaken will have a direct impact on our clients' operations and the role will involve working closely with our client representatives.

Qualifications

-Solid C++ development experience is essential, as is exposure to the full software development life cycle.
-Excellent problem-solving skills
-Understanding of STL, Design Patterns, Object-Oriented design are also required.
-Experience with real-time, multi-threaded programming is also required, preferably in a Unix based environment.
-Exposure to low-latency transport environments is desirable.
