Description The Care Delivery Business Information Organization (CD BIO) is embarking on the creation and execution of a People Program, which will build the foundation and framework for the BIO to create a Talent Strategy, Knowledge Retention Program, Career Development Program, and Succession Planning Program. This is a new initiative that needs a knowledgeable and experienced resource to design, vet, build and sustain these programs. This position will work closely with leadership and management within the CD BIO, focusing on People Program Development and Execution, ensuring that we have the right resources at the right time, and helping to make Kaiser Permanente Information Technology one of the best places to work. Programs include Workforce Strategy Planning, Knowledge Retention Program, Succession Planning, and Career Development Program. This position will also have the responsibility for location and facility strategy and support. Essential Functions: People Program Development and Execution Accountable for managing the Strategic Workforce Plan, Knowledge Retention Program, and Career Development Program for the CD BIO Creates the Product and Service catalog for People Program Development and Execution Solicits input from key stakeholders to create a Strategic Workforce Planning process that will enable the Care Delivery BIO to meet its current and future business and strategic objectives Solicits input from key stakeholders to create a Knowledge Retention Program that reduces the risk of losing institutional knowledge Solicits input from key stakeholders to create a Succession Planning Program to identify critical resources and administer a common process for succession planning Solicits input from key stakeholders to create a Career Development Program to build efficient and effective Individual Development Plans Works with key stakeholders and management to execute the Strategic Workforce Planning process, Knowledge Retention Program, and Career Development Program Creates and facilitates the People Steering Committee to ensure that strategic direction is aligned, communicated, and executed Creates regular People Strategy reports and dashboards to track progress Creates People Strategy toolkits and templates to increase efficiency and adoption Facility/Location Strategy and Support Location strategy coordination Space planning support Alternate Work Space support space utilization management Cross location/cross regional space/logistics and operations management Adds, moves, and changes oversight Embark/disembark oversight Point of Contact for IT support services Point of Contact for IT facilities Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related field and/or 5 years of equivalent experience A minimum of 12 years of experience in documenting functional requirements, analyzes business process, and develops business cases to support IT solutions. Minimum of 10 years of experience analyzing and documenting technology processes Must be able to multi-task, work independently and interface with all levels of staff and management in a fast paced environment. Broad understanding of the different roles within Information Technology and their implications Excellent executive presence and ability to crisply communicate complex ideas in a simple manner Advanced knowledge (broad expertise or unique knowledge) of policies, practices and systems Develops advanced concepts, techniques, and standards Applies advanced principles, theories, and concepts Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong expertise in Excel and Powerpoint Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience within Kaiser Permanente Information Technology Prior experience as a consultant in an IT environment Ideal candidate is a change driver and has a strong track record of influence in very large, consensus-driven organizations.
