CDL A and/or CDL B Driver Job in Burgettstown 15021, Pennsylvania Us
The position will hold the title of Driver and will be responsible for driving and operating a variety of vehicles. Drivers will generally work in a nearby geographic area, but may be asked at times (usually 1-2 times per month) to spend one or more days away from home. Hours can vary, and drivers may occasionally be called in to work on short notice. There is a significant amount of on-site work, especially when operating turbo-vacs and vacuum tankers. Knowledge of DOT HAZMAT regulations is important, as in a basic understanding of RCRA (Hazardous Waste) regulations. Job includes:

Duties:
* Safely operates various vehicles, possibly including turbo-vacs, vacuum tankers, roll-off trucks, dump trailers, flatbeds, and box vans.
* Takes the lead role in on-site operations such as vacuuming. At times, may need to communicate with and direct technicians and other personnel on-site to assist with accomplishing tasks.
* Regularly inspects vehicle and reports any maintenance issues. Responsible for keeping vehicle within DOT-compliance.
* Reviews all paperwork to ensure it is complete, DOT-complaint, and describes the material being transported. At times, may prepare additional paperwork on-site.
* Contributes to team effort by taking a pro-active role in solving problems and personally ensuring company tasks and operations are accomplished smoothly.
Skills/Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess working knowledge of DOT and RCRA regulations. They will be able to work in fast paced work environment where priorities and workloads are constantly in flux. Ability to clearly communicate, ask questions, and solve problems, and identify and prevent safety issues is essential.
