The ideal candidate would possess a working knowledge and passion for developing software applications for the Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) Industry governed by AC120-76A.
- Candidates would develop and integrate software applications and services for the Goodrich Electronic Flight Bag portfolio.
- Execute value engineering, new product introduction, and production support projects.
- Establishes software design requirements traceability, flow down requirements, develop and test.
- Support IP Network protocols for transmittal of avionics data over IP links.
- Support and extend OpenGL Graphics libraries.
- Develop and support DO-178B DAL C platform
services and applications for certifiable Integrated Modular Avionics.
- Collaborate and work with off shore development teams.
- Will perform the full life-cycle software development tasks with minimal supervision and direction from the software manager.
The position requires a BS in Software, CSE, Electrical or an applicable BS degree in Engineering.
Successful candidate will possess the following experience/skills:
* Will have a Systems background with detailed understanding of flight sensitive avionics software packages.
* DO-178B certification of IMA applications and platform services.
* Complete software development life-cycle. Experience: requirements, design, development, integration, and qualification tested to the requirements of DO-178B Design Assurance Level A-D.
* System level requirements definition experience taking into account SAE ARP 4754, Fault Tree/System Safety Assessments, FAA/EASA regulations.
* FAA/EASA software certification and audit experience.
*Software/project leadership experience.
*Experience with 'C' language.
*Real-Time Operating Systems (DEOS Experience preferable).
