Centacare Cairns Team Leader - Counselling Centacare Cairns is seeking to employ a skilled, enthusiastic and motivated professional as the full-time Team Leader of the counselling team within the Family and Relationship Services program. Applicants will need a tertiary qualification in Social Work, Social Sciences, Counselling, Psychology or equivalent, and demonstrated experience and ability in supervision of staff, service development and at least 5 years practice experience in counselling adults, families, young people and children which includes children in care. The most suitable person will have a strong client-centred philosophy and be able to demonstrate a commitment to social justice, and to working within the philosophy and mission of Centacare Cairns as the welfare arm of the Catholic Diocese of Cairns. Demonstrated experience in effective team management along with a structured administrative approach will also be well regarded as will a qualified approach to clinical supervision of staff.
