SUMMARY- Position is responsible for operation of a Lincare center with sales, and supervision of the center employees.

 

JOB LEVEL BENCHMARK DATA-

Level 2 - Minimum of one year experience with Lincare or similar industry.  Position is responsible for operation of a Lincare center with annual sales of up to $500,000 and supervises up to 5 people.

 

Level 3 - Minimum of two years of experience with Lincare or similar industry.  Position is responsible for operation of a Lincare center with annual sales of up to $750,000 and supervises up to 5 people.

 

Level 4 - Minimum of three years of experience with Lincare or similar industry.  Position is responsible for operation of a Lincare center with annual sales of up to $1,000,000 and supervises up to 7 people.

 

Level 5 - Minimum of three years of experience with Lincare or similar industry.  Position is responsible for operation of a Lincare center with annual sales of up to $1,500,000 and supervises up to 9 people.

 

Level 6 - Minimum of three years of experience with Lincare or similar industry.  Position is responsible for operation of a Lincare center with annual sales of up to $2,500,000 and supervises up to 9 people.

 

Level 7 - Minimum of four years of experience with Lincare or similar industry.  Position is responsible for operation of a Lincare center will annual sales o up to $3,500,000 and supervises up to 20 people.

 

Level 8 - Minimum of five years of experience with Lincare or similar industry.  Position is responsible for operation of a Lincare center with annual sales over $3,500,000 and supervises up to 20 people.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

Interview, hire, train, and supervise quality candidates.

 

Make sales calls on existing and potential referral sources on a regular basis.  Requires having complete product knowledge.

 

Must be able to communicate effectively with doctors, administrators, directors of respiratory therapy departments and others responsible for referrals.

 

Implement Lincare safety programs, including maintaining records, in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations that apply to DOT and FDA.

 

Controls inventory and does purchasing of equipment and supplies through the central purchasing function.

 

Responsible for growth of the patient base through excellence in customer service.

 

Responsible for the profitability of the center and for implementing and directing cost controls.

 

Responsible for maintaining a fleet of leased vehicles including establishing a routine preventive maintenance program and follow up of major maintenance.  Record keeping and inspections of vehicles is a critical part of the responsibility.

 

May be required to perform equipment set-ups in patient homes, most set-ups are oxygen equipment, concentrators and reservoirs.

 

May required to perform on-call duties on a rotational basis with other employees in the center.  Includes responding to call outs at night and weekends to provide the service normally done by a service representative.

 

Must be able to serve as a backup to the service representative for vacation, illness, and other periods of absenteeism.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES- Customer Service Representatives, Sales Representatives, Service Representatives, and Healthcare Specialist.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE- College degree or equivalent.  Minimum of one year experience in marketing of respiratory products or services.  Demonstrated knowledge of Lincare products.  Ability to work with limited supervision as individual has primary responsibility for total operations of a Lincare center.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS - Must be DOT certified and possess a Commercial Drivers Licence (CDL) or have to have the ability to obtain one.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee is occasionally required to sit.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and distance vision.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT-  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
