Cerner CoPath Lead Programmer/Analyst Job in Pasadena, California Us

This is a full-time position supporting and enhancing the anatomic pathology system for the Southern CA Region. The analyst selected for this position will work closely with business partners within the lab as well as other individuals and organizations within the Information Technology area in order to support and enhance this patient care application. The application, Cerner CoPath Plus, is a mission critical application and is critical to patient care. We are seeking a motivated individual with strong design experience with laboratory information systems and anatomic pathology.
Essential Functions:
- Coordinate staff in the SCAL region responsible for support of anatomic pathology and related applications. Additional staff will be located in disparate locations throughout the region.
- Assign staff to authorized projects in order to meet project deliverables on time and within budget.
- Recommend appropriate training for staff.
- Work with BSP and business partners to ensure clarity of system and change requirements and to provide status of projects on a timely basis.
- Provide performance and development input to management for staff reviews on a semi-annual basis.
- Meet and work with anatomic pathology clients and KPIT project team staff.

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field and/or 4 years of equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in development of new programs/applications or maintaining and/or supporting existing programs/systems.
- 5 or more years of technical experience in a fast paced, Information Technology Department
consisting of a combination of staff and contractors.
- 5 years experience with anatomic pathology information systems
- 5 years experience with personal computers, particularly with database, spreadsheet, and/or
word processing software
- Proven ability to direct and mentor staff
- Ability to work in a highly matrixed environment
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
- Proven ability to communicate well, both orally and in written form with senior management,
business partners, and staff
- Demonstrated fiscal responsibility
- Ability to coordinate staff time and assignments
- Demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a health care environment
- Experience in a pathology systems environment and or a laboratory systems environment
- Prior experience in a anatomic pathology environment
- Prior experience with clinical laboratory
- Prior experience with highly regulated change management systems
