We have an immediate need for an experienced Certified Cisco Data Network Architect
JOB DESCRIPTION.
CDI Government Services is seeking a Cisco Data Network Architect to work with clients in the Dallas area to provide Cisco Network solutions. This is a long term, W-2 contract position that does have the potential to be extended or switched to direct with our client.
Job Description:
Working with clients you will:
* Assess their network and pinpoint areas that could be improved and come up with a plan.
* Prepare the configuration of the Layer 2 and Layer 3 devices for the new implementation according to the requirements.
* Diagnose hardware and software problems, and replace defective components.
* Design, configure, and test network hardware and networking configurations.
* Review requests for changes to the network to assess impact on network performance and provide advice and guidance.
* Analyze network characteristics (e.g., traffic, connect time, transmission speeds, packet sizes, and throughput) and recommends procurement, removals, and modifications to network components.
* Act as Single Point of Contact if required
* Prepare the configuration for the Layer 2 and Layer 3 devices for the new implementation according to the requirements.
Requirements:
* B.S. Degree in IT or related field
* 8 – 10 years of experience with Cisco Data Network troubleshooting.
* Cisco Certification: CCDP or CCIP or CCNP or CCIE.
* Possess extensive knowledge on the Design/Implementation and troubleshooting of LAN and WAN Networks,
* Strong Knowledge in Routing protocols like EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, HSRP, and GLBP.
* Experience troubleshooting in Layer 2 technologies
* Experience on various Cisco products
* Good knowledge on the new Cisco Products like Nexus and GSS and ACE Load Balancers.
* Experience with troubleshooting tools like Ciscoworks, Solarwinds, and various application response time monitoring tools.
* Possess excellent Verbal and Written Skills
* “People Person†who enjoys working with clients to improve their Network Systems.
