Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA)- Internal Medicine Job in Cleveland Heights, Ohio Us
The Medical Assistant position exists to assist in the delivery of care in the ambulatory setting under the direct supervision of a licensed Nurse or Physician.
Essential Functions:
- Demonstrate and apply required skills sets and clinical knowledge in the ambulatory care setting
- Collect, report, and document objective and subjective data in an accurate and timely manner
- Room and discharge patients according to department standards
- Respond to emergent/crisis situations upon delegation by the RN or Physician
- Must demonstrate compassion and empathy with patients
- Distributes health information to members as directed
- Work flexible hours, various locations, and other duties as assigned
- Must maintain a safe, therapeutic, and aesthetic environment
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Must have current Certification as an MA through AAMA upon hire
- Current BCLS from the American Heart Association required
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year of acute or outpatient care experience preferred but not required
