Leading financial services firm seeks a JAPAN Chief Financial Officer
Roles/Responsibilities
- Setup the finance and accounting function in our new established entity in Japan.
- Leading the local finance team to implement the group’s accounting system (SAP) in Japan.
- Provide support to the Japan country head and Asia CFO on all finance matters in Japan.
- Leading the Japan finance team to ensure that the company’s financials are properly compiled with all the regulatory requirements in Japan.
- Prepare and review all regulatory reporting for the entity.
- Support the Group Head of Tax in performing a effective tax planning for the Japan business and prepare the tax filing for the Japan entity.
- Support the country head in developing forecast and budget financials, and monitor financial performance against targets
Required skill
- Relevant experience in financial institutions, preferably with minimum ten years relevant experience and at least five years experience at senior management level.
- Extensive experience in interacting directly with business senior management.
- Extensive knowledge on broking industry in Japan.
Preferred skill
- Experience in setting up new established operation is definitely an advantage.
- Eager to drive change and work independently
- Proficiency in use of computer (esp. MS-Excel, MS-Access, MS-Powerpoint applications) and exposure to ERP systems such as SAP
Personal Attributes
- Good command of written and spoken English and Japanese.
- Strong presentation skills, excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
