Change Management Coordinator
Purpose Scope:
The Change Management Coordinator will play a key role in helping change initiatives meet business, schedule and budget objectives. This person will focus on changes to the Mortgage Servicing Operation as a result of regulatory, investor or business unit directives. The primary focus will be the deployment of the Change Management Process to ensure that changes to the policies and procedures affecting Servicing Operations are implemented in a structured, consistent, and efficient manner, and do not impair the internal control environment. Position will interact with various Corporate functions, i.e. Legal, Risk Compliance, Consent Order Project Team, Technology, as well as with executive management across the
Duties:
- Duties will include assessing changes for their impact to respective business units and the associated risk level. This individual will also be responsible for answering inquires in regards to change control process including timeline management.
- Assist in defining overall governance strategy to ensure strong controls over key risk areas.
- Review and assess Change Requests for compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Be the primary interface to the business collaboratively working to define and monitor key risk metrics.
- Assess proposed changes for potential adverse impact on processes or documents and take appropriate actions to mitigate the adverse impact.
- Track changes and provide metrics to assess the effectiveness of the change control process.
- Inform management of compliance issues identified while assessing change requests and change controls and take corrective actions to resolve the issue.
- Contribute to meetings and projects associated with Change Control processes and systems
- Provide Change Control metrics and trending analysis to management
- Develop management reports and applicable presentations.
Skills Required:
- Experience in Mortgage Operations and Financial Services Industry in General
- SalesForce.com and SharePoint experience is a plus
- Problem assessment and resolution skills
- Strong negotiation and collaboration skills
- Experience in quality control
- Expert at building strong business partnerships
- Must be a strategic / big picture thinker and have a strong understanding how the interrelationship of processes, technologies, and people create results.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and is adaptable to changing priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Proven track record with detail-oriented assignments
- Must demonstrate the ability to think work independently
- Must be able to influence others
- Strong decision making skills
- Ability to communicate with internal and external parties at all levels in an organization
- Proven ability to manage an organization through change
- Ability to build processes that create operational value and minimize risk
- Previous change management experience is a plus
Education experience required:
· College degree or equivalent related work experience
· 5-10 years experience in Mortgage, Operations or related domain in a large financial institution.
· Experience in risk management a plus
