Change Management Operations Analysis Consultant Specialist
ACCEPTABLE WORK LOCATIONS Candidates can work in any of the following Kaiser locations : Corona, Pleasanton, Walnut Creek and Oregon, or in other states where KP has business presence. This position reports to the Change Management manager within the Enterprise Operations Implementation Services organization. The Change Management Senior will be responsible for the coordination and governance of the change management process. This includes aligning change management roles, validating customer and KPIT approvals, identifying change window scheduling conflicts, ensuring all RFC fields are completed in the change request before escalating to change owner, reviewing change plans and ensuring documentation is appropriate, validating change impact, address pending items from the CABs, and leading change review meetings. Other responsibilities include conducting post implementation review meetings, assisting in the gathering and delivery of change metrics and reports, acting as a liaison to peer groups such as Remedy Support Group and APO, and ensuring end to end change management compliance within KPIT. Essential Functions: - Review production RFCs to ensure completeness, integrity and accuracy of information. - Ensure RFC compliance with SOX and audit requirements (internal and external). - Ensure RFC adherence to national change policies and procedures. - Identify possible conflicts/impacts in the same scheduled period. - Design, create and maintain master change calendar for CAB meetings. - Maintain KP Timeline and major change event calendar. - Coordinate, prepare and provide oversight to CAB meetings. - Conduct post-change review sessions; analyze post-implementation data for future improvement. - Coordinate and produce change metrics and compliance reports. - Deliver change induced incidents analysis and recommend corrective/preventive steps. - Oversee and address situations where there is deviation of practice from the national change management policy. - Provide inputs and recommendation to KPIT Change Management SOP and tools as required. - Ensure proper, complete, and timely communication and coordination of change activities with KPIT and customers. - Maintain solid relationships with KPIT and business partner teams. - Actively participate in, teaming with key staff members from KPIT organizations to facilitate and execute ITIL compliant processes. - Drive continuous improvement within the infrastructure environment by analyzing internal workflows, leading reviews and crafting clear recommendations for process improvements. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and/or a minimum of 4 years of equivalent work experience. - A minimum of10 years of Information Technology experience. - Directly related work experience in data center operations in one or more of the following: network, distributed systems, mainframe, midrange, batch operations and automation platforms. - Directly related progressive work experience in data center operations in one or more of the following: network, distributed systems, mainframe, midrange, batch operations and automation platforms. - A minimum of 5 year IT change control experience with a solid understanding of IT concepts and fundamentals would be beneficial. - Experience in large computing environment with operations background and change management tools, such as Remedy a plus. - Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills are necessary. - Strong process (and associated controls) development, documentation, and implementation skills with prior Information Technology process implementation experience is required. ITIL Foundation Certification or experience implementing ITIL processes in a corporate IT environment would be an asset. - Knowledge of Six Sigma and / or LEAN principles are not required but would be an added benefit. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the healthcare industry with understanding of business drivers and dynamics is preferred.
