About the Job:

For 2012, SWIP will have a large and exciting Change portfolio. Reporting to the Head of Change, responsible for the scoping, management, governance and delivery of a variety of programmes and projects.

Accountabilities:

* Working with project sponsors, business leads and other stakeholders to develop and maintain quality project documents
* Applying appropriate formal project management standards to planning, progress tracking, risks and issues, and resource management
* Effectively managing project teams to ensure tasks completed within agreed timescales
* Proactively liaise to resolve or re-plan where issues arise for any tasks
* Preparing various project reports to Steering Committees and other stakeholders, including Senior Management and Executive as required
* Preparing, managing and monitoring the delivery against plan and budget to ensure progressive development and success of the project / programme
* Identifying and managing dependencies with other projects and business priorities
* Closing down projects in an orderly manner by providing early life support to business teams, creating transition plan and managing the handover from project to 'business as usual'
* To maintain effective relationships across the business and engage actively with key project stakeholders

What Skills/Experience you will need?

* Good knowledge of the financial services industry
* Broad knowledge of Investment Management operations would be beneficial
* A track record in successful delivery of large scale change projects/programmes is essential
* Experience of managing delivery of investment product launches
* Knowledge of operational processes e.g. trading, valuations, accounting would be useful
* Delivery skills focused on turning ideas and plans into reality
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* A professional attitude and an imaginative approach
* Organisation and attention to detail
