Change Program Manager – COO/Risk recruitment

The successful candidate will work in the Risk Operations change team. Risk Operations is responsible for providing senior IB Operations management and internal partners with independent analysis and assessment of the process, risk and control framework across all IB Operations functions (including both Middle Office and Operations Utilities). , as well as the change programs to strengthen the risk framework. Given the significantly increased focus on the Risk operations function both within UBS and across the industry, this role will have extremely high visibility inside and outside of IB Operations.
Role responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Leading high profile change programs (with Operations Management Committee sponsorship) – initial focus on the next phase of Balance Sheet control transformation (GBSOV+) across Operations and Finance.
• Managing direct and indirect resources to execute strategic changes in operating model, IT infrastructure and risk management processes.
• Working with IT and senior stakeholders to define/design future state processes and architectures and see these through to execution and operational effectiveness.
• Managing Ops and IT budgets to execute against milestones
• Interfacing with a broad range of stakeholders from senior sponsors, global and regional functional heads, and other functions such as the business, finance and risk, to ensure buy-in and alignment to strategy and managing delivery commitments.
Requirements
• Investment banking experience (preferably broad knowledge across Securities and Derivatives).
• Experience of working under tight deadlines, managing uncertainty and balancing multiple priorities.
• Change lifecycle and PMO experience, including sufficient experience with the IT project lifecycle to enable credible interaction with IT delivery teams
• Ability to manage and work with senior stakeholders
• Team management experience
• Ability to analyze complex processes
• Ability to balance strategic and tactical requirements
• Strong influencing skills at all levels of the organisation
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Excellent organizational skills and rigorous follow-up
• Detail oriented
• Delivery focus – Methodical and organised approach; track items to completion
• Relationship builder
• Integrity and discretion are key to help ensure sensitive information is handled with care
• Risk aware and shows good judgement; can balance degree of risk mitigation against ease of implementation. Can abstract from a specific incident to identify underlying causes; can deconstruct a process and looks for the gaps as well as validating the existing capabilities.
• Change lifecycle and project management qualifications.
• Experience of a relevant business function preferable but not essential
• High proficiency in presentation and analysis techniques and tools (MS office, excel, powerpoint)
• General ability to pick up information quickly and turn around deliverables within a short amount of time
• Continuous improvement / Lean skillsets
• Graduate Education Required with preference for MBA/CPA/CFA
