The Channel Revenue Management Services offering enables consumer packaged goods companies to gain maximum effect from sales and marketing investments across the various channels.  By combining world-class analytic capabilities based on synchronized sources of downstream data, the offering provides consumer product goods companies the competitive edge they need to drive sales and profit growth.  We provide an integrated delivery architecture and platform that can be delivered in a traditional system integration model or as a collection of managed services.

 

The Analytics and Modeling Lead is responsible for leading and providing functional expertise in an effort to gather, analyze and model client data.  They work with key performance indicators and/or market data to develop quantitative and qualitative business insights and improve decision-making.  The group establishes, drives and supports the use of a broad set analytical tools, techniques and algorithms for data mining.  Analytical Services uses business insights to develop and recommend changes and improvements to client business functions such as demand forecasting, inventory optimization and sales and marketing campaigns.  This work may be done for external clients or for Accenture internally.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

General

 

               Provide function expertise, drive, and manage analytical efforts in consumer packaged goods and services

               Design of distribution network

               Demand forecasting

               Aggregate planning

               Supply and capacity management

               Inventory management

               Develop business insights and recommendations for improvements to business functions based on the results of analytics.

               Provide recommendations for process improvements to drive cost savings and efficiencies

 

Data Analytics and Information Technology

 

               Utilize tools and algorithms for data mining to develop business data insights (cross tabulation, conjoint, cluster, factor, and multiple discriminant analysis, regression and correlation).

               Support study of central tendency, dispersion, skeweness, kurtosis of nominal and ordinal (non-metric), interval and ratio (metric) data.

               Responsible for statistical inference of data through estimation techniques and hypothesis testing

 

Management

 

               Define and develop project deliverable structure including project charter, baseline plan, and responsibility chart

               Manage project scheduling including Work Breakdown Structure, Critical Path Analysis, PERT, management of

               Manage project scheduling including Work Breakdown Structure(WBS), Critical Path Analysis, Program Evaluation Report Technique, Project Management Body of Knowledge areas like cash flow estimation, resource loading and leveling, schedule crashing, risks identification, assessment and control

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

               Bachelor's Degree required

               5+ years experience in deep analytics involving consumer goods and services

               Experience in establishing a green field analytics and modeling function

               Hands-on experience leading a team of highly skilled Business Intelligence workforces

               Advanced level skills in at least three of these programs: SPSS Clementine, Weka, SPSS Answer Tree, SPSS Amos, Primavera, Microsoft Project,     Crystal Ball, Salesforce.com, SPS 17, and SAP PP

               Advanced modeling capabilities

               Experience with process improvement methodologies

 

Additional Preferred Skill Requirements:

 

               SAP Business Intelligence

               Experience with Demand Signal Repository (DSR)

               Master's Degree or PhD

 

Professional Skill Requirements:

 

               Proven ability to communicate with high level stakeholders

               Strong analytical abilities

               Proven ability to manage and drive projects through to completion

               Ability to communicate complex project definitions and deliverables through all levels of knowledge
