Channel Marketing Manager
The Channel Marketing Manager is a highly visible position that will serve as the outbound champion within the Fiery organization for the development and execution of channel strategy, plans and tactics. The Channel Marketing Manager should demonstrate clear ownership of all outbound channel marketing activities for the product(s) and services that contribute to channel revenue. The position is responsible for North American channel marketing activities and provides support for EMEA and Asia Pacific channel marketing.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Own and lead the development, coordination and execution of a channel marketing plan.
- Develop clear channel positioning, messaging and communication strategies to market to and through channel partners. Develop and/or deploy effective channel selling tools including collateral, web site resources, and training materials.
- Create and implement profitability, awareness, enablement, loyalty or other marketing programs to increase channel mindshare and effectively drive channel behavior to achieve company objectives.
- Track and measure partner success. Identify focus areas for improvement or growth.
- Manage program compliance and annual partner program renewal processes.
- Manage market development funds (MDF).
- Develop, rollout, and manage sales promotions and other sell-through strategies designed to drive higher revenues and margins through the sales channel.
- Forecast and then measure financial ROI.
- Interface with Finance and Sales Operations to ensure all accounting rules are followed.
- Validate and process rebate claim forms from channel partners.
- Drive the organization and promotion of channel events; attend key events.
- Investigate marketing relationships with industry third parties and drive alliance marketing programs.
- Create Go-to-Market plan for EFI Services to the channel including messaging, launch plans, programs, collateral, promotions and training.
- Work with Marcom, Sales and Product Marketing teams to develop advertising, direct and indirect marketing, PR, promotions and sales support materials, websites, event support and other tools for channel partners.
- Partner with the field sales organization identify and engage channel distribution partners for all EFI products, driving cross sell opportunities where applicable.
- Maintain and improve accuracy of salesforce.com data on channel organizations and contacts.
- Build usage of EFI Partner Portal by channel sales reps.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in marketing, business or communications required; MBA preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years experience in high technology and channel marketing role.
- Solid understanding of multi-tier channels, OEMs and resellers.
- Digital printing industry knowledge or prior marketing experience with EFI’s portfolio of products a plus.
- Experience in formulation of channel strategy, channel business and marketing plans as well as channel enablement programs. Experience creating or managing channel profitability and incentive programs.
- Ability to independently develop and/or lead the development of materials and strategic channel initiatives with a track record of measuring success metrics.
- Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork with the ability to work effectively in a matrix environment with numerous business stakeholders and multiple functional groups.
- Highly motivated individual with high energy and enthusiasm; proactive and creative, detail oriented and efficient.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities with little direction in a fast paced and dynamic working environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both internal and external groups. Strong customer relationship skills.
- Ability to analyze and track the channel business knowing when to propose changes to stay on track and when necessary to develop creative solutions and innovative ideas to continue to deliver the forecast and strategic goals.
- Knowledge of financial systems and accounting requirements for channel expenses, incentives, and rebates.
- Some travel required (up to 20%).
