Our client is involved in the assessment testing and appraisal of products and building systems used in the civil and structural engineering sectors. They are looking for a chartered engineer with good technical and communication skills to work in their testing and approvals department. This division helps industry and entrepreneurs ensure new products are attain necessary standards before going to market. Using a combination of civil and structural engineering expertise and in conjunction with their materials experts new products will undergo a range of analysis and testing. Your role will be to carry out/check engineering and structural calculations, act as the primary technical contact point for customers, provide advice and guidance on civil/structural engineering matters, maintain a detailed knowledge of your designated customer sector and thus identify technical issues and business opportunities that arise.
