Sodexo is seeking a Chef for a Campus Dining Account in River Forest, IL. Reporting to the General Manager, this Chef will be responsible for all food ordering, inventory, food prep, menu development, implementation of the safety program and will also be responsible for managing the food production operations for a local high school. This manager will direct 34 employees. Campus features resident dining, retail and catering operations at $2.5M volume annual. The ideal candidate will have: College/University culinary and culinary program management experience -- a culinary degree -- experience managing and training a culinary staff -- experience with food and labor management systems -- experience with designing and implementing menus -- experience with on-line ordering. Seeking bilingual candidates; the ability to communicate in Spanish would be helpful in managing this workforce. Position Summary : Responsible for food production in a foodservice operation. May be responsible for one area (i.e., hot foods) or could specialize (i.e., catering). Supervises a staff of hourly associates. May be responsible for food inventory and ordering. May conduct culinary training. Manages the kitchen. Reports to GM or Executive Chef.
