We need an Italian Food Chef to work in Ocean City, MD from May 15th, 2012 to September 30th, 2012, Seven (7) days a week in a popular local establishment. The menu will be standard Italian fare, such as veal parmesan, meat-balls and spaghetti, etc. No dessert preparation is required.
Please Note: Although the Italian Food Chef will pay for their own housing, we can locate
housing for the Chef if desired.
Contract Purpose:

Designs and prepares meals by planning and implementing menus; controlling food preparation; preparing meals.
Duties:
--------
* Plans menus, popularity of dishes, recency of menu; utilizing food surpluses and leftovers.
* Purchases foodstuffs and kitchen supplies by identifying and qualifying suppliers; negotiating prices; estimating food consumption; placing and expediting orders.
* Prepares food by establishing nutrition and presentation standards and preparation procedures; measuring results against standards; making production adjustments.
* Approves food preparation by observing methods of preparation; tasting and smelling prepared dishes; viewing color, texture, and garnishments; verifying portion sizes.
* Controls costs by using readily available and seasonal ingredients; setting standards for quality and quantity.
* Maintains a clean and safe environment by following federal, state, and local sanitation requirements; maintaining first aid, cpr, and heimlich maneuver certification
* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
