The Reid Industry Group is seeking motivated and experienced chefs to join their team at the Capricorn Tavern as soon as possible. The Capricorn Tavern Yeppoon is a modern, established venue within the Reid Industry Group.
The Reid Industry Group has four state of the art venues throughout regional Queensland located in Yeppoon, Rockhampton, Emerald and Charters Towers.
The Reid Industry Group specializes in hospitality services, accommodation, gaming, liquor distribution and other various industries. We have a strong culture of teamwork, customer focus, motivation, loyalty, honesty and integrity within all our venues. We are currently experiencing rapid growth across the group.
An exciting opportunity exists for two chefs to join the team.
Successful applicants will possess the following attributes:
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or the equivalent is preferred
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role is highly desirable
- Passion skills in all aspects of food preparation, distribution and food quality assurance
- Strong desire to share learn culinary skills within a team environment
- Ability to work in a physically challenging fast paced work environment
The responsibilities of the role include:
- Assisting in the preparation presentation of food in an efficient effective manner
- Assisting the Head Chef to ensure the kitchen is producing high quality product service at all times
- Directing staff in the preparation, distribution presentation of food as directed
- Creating maintaining a safe working environment at all times
- Maintaining a positive work environment which is both effective efficient
- Correctly monitoring, adhering to adequately documenting food hygiene regulations
- Assisting with ordering as directed displaying extensive product knowledge.
On the job training for applicable menus is supplied. Further career development or certification is available for suitable applicants. Above award pay and conditions apply.
