Chef Manager HOLLY SPRINGS Loading map ... Sodexo has an exciting opportunity for a Chef Manager for a new and prestigious Corporate dining account in Wilson, NC. This position is responsible for culinary production and service of the dining experience for this pharmaceutical client location including the direction and supervision of frontline employees. The Chef Manager will also be responsible for maintaining all standards and implementation of the food program including controlling food cost, labor costs, food nad supplies ordering inventory. A dinner shift may be established and if so would be in your scope of responsibility. This position will report to the General Manager. The ideal candidate will have the following preferred experience/skills: PL experience in a foodservice operation preferred Demonstrated culinary leadership skills Excellent communication skills and good organizational ability Ability to interact with guests as well as clients Multi-task with the ability to identify and efficiently resolve operational challenges highly desired ServSafe certification desired Supervises cooks and oversees the preparation, portioning, garnishing, and storage of food. Estimates food consumption and purchases food. May assist in cooking and preparing food as necessary. Responsible for maintaining kitchen and storage facilities in sanitary condition. Responsible for cash management. Interacts with client/customers on a regular basis. This position is the leader for an account/unit chef/production group. This position is in smaller accounts/units where there is not a Chef or Food Production Manager. Reports to GM. Basic Education Requirement - Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree Basic Management Experience - 1 year Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc. Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
