Kelly Services has a fantastic opportunity for Chemical Mixers at a company in the South Bay. The position entails operating chemical mixing, casting, and/or polyamide coating equipment. It is a temp to hire position paying between $14 and $18, DOE. YOU MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO WORK EITHER A DAY OR EVENING SHIFT. Duties : Perform equipment set up and start up following established operating procedures. Adhere to and perform the required QC procedures. Perform required testing procedures on intermediate and finished materials as documented in test plans and procedures. Perform chemical additions, flushes and system lineup changes to manufacture products. Safely load and unload membrane rolls and chemicals from process steps. Assist in hands-on training new operators as requested by supervisor. Manually and electronically record all relevant process data as required. Troubleshoot common production issues. Qualifications : High School diploma or equivalent. 1-2 years in working in an assembly manufacturing environment. Experience reading and following SOP?s. Experience measuring and recording data. Proven ability to read, comprehend and follow technical work instructions in English. Experience in using a variety of measurement devices. Proven ability to perform basic arithmetic and fractions. Demonstrated ability with basic PC skills (Word, Excel, Outlook). All candidates must be able to successfully pass a seven year county/criminal background screen.
